fic recs august 25
what an incredibly productive time in the fandom, especially on ao3 lately!
here's some of my favourites from the last week alone:
"here we are (far gone)" by thetimecrystal and the companion piece, "chrome, smoke, heat (me and you)" by prisonjazzvirtue. two of the best writers in this tag. these are real smutty delights. i always admire people who can write this fast, punchy, yet heavily emotive fics!
"hot like sahara" by woollen_pharaohs. yes, this is indeed gaspard/dave dewaele. but this is one of the best portrayals of gaspard i've ever seen. this is for the gaspard girls, trust me. you'll want to read it. delightfully smutty, well-written, also well researched too. gaspard in a queer shunga? need i say more?
"entombed" by anonymous was recently updated too. now, if you haven't yet tuned in to this really well written historical vampire au, you're missing out! get on that! it's well worth the wait for every new update.
"les carnets de gaspard" by lesreptiles. this is an ongoing work, but it's one to keep an eye on. i wanted to shout it out especially because it includes some poetry! i'm running on 8th grade frence, google translate and a dream, but it is still a beautiful read. there's so much potential for this ship to be explored outside of prose, and this hits the nail on the head
